Due to the novel corona virus pandemic, we all are in the dilemma of whether the IPL 13th edition will take place or not. There is some news that it is likely to happen in September-October. But in case if it doesn't take place then? Let me tell you some of the facts that what we going to miss this year. After reading these facts you might start missing IPL more than ever. These facts are as follows:

BCCI Loss

Economically it will cost $530 million to BCCI, biggest loss isn't it, according to stats in 2017 BCCI brand value increased from 4.2 billion to 5.6 billion (approx. 25%) so it could go higher this year but unfortunately this year it's a bit difficult to jump this higher.

MS Dhoni’s Fan Expectations

If you are MS Dhoni’s fan as I am, this might be the last time we could see him playing in our favorite yellow jersey before his retirement from international cricket. We could be the witness of his six on the very last ball of the inning and his brilliant captaincy.

Performance Of Foreign Player

We would miss some brilliant performance by the foreign player like pat Cumming who is the most expensive (15.5 crores by KKR) foreign player this year. Some another player like Glenn Maxwell for his amazing fielding, my personal favourite South African all-rounder Chris Morris for his amazing all-rounder performance and Quinton de cock and Andre Russell's batting performance.

Batting Performance

How can we talk about IPL and don't talk about batting performance so let us recall some of the innings we had been witnessed of much amazing batting performance by many players whether it is Indian player like Hardik Pandya (KKR vs MI at Eden garden) who single-handedly snatched the victory from KKR by hitting 91 runs in just 34 balls and helped to chase down 232 targets, and a foreign player like Andre Russell who scored 48* in just 13 balls vs royal challengers Bangalore. Amazing innings right isn't it?

Bowling Performance

Last year an amazing bowler debut in IPL Alzarri Joseph he took 6 wickets in his first match, you never know we could see such performance by some other player, if we talk about economy bowling I would say Jasprit Bumrah again did nice bowling his economy rate was just 6.63. Maybe it could be much better this year or some other bowling performance might surpass his record.

Good Fielding Performance

One of the best parts of cricket other than batting and bowling  is fielding and in all the edition of IPL we have seen many amazing catches, last year Faf du Plessis secured the first position in most catches list followed by Hardik Pandya by 11 catches and this year we could expect much more than the last year.

Emerging Player

One of the awards in IPL for praising young talent is "emerging player of the year", last year when Shubhman gill played from KKR side, showed his batting talent and elicited widespread praised from all over the world and end up winning the emerging player of the year title. this year several good players were going to make their debut in IPL like tom baton(England) , Devdutt Padikkal(Ind), Alex carry(Aus), and Priyam Garg(Ind). It would be amazing to see who won this award this year.

Some Controversies

Without controversies big tournament is not complete, last year  Ashwin's Mankading controversy got a lot of headlines from all over the world, as a cricket fan I wouldn’t also support this but according to the old proverb, everything is fair in love and war.

Another controversy that grabbed all the attention of cricket lovers when pollard expressed his disappointment by standing way beyond the wide ball mark because he wasn't happy with the umpire’s decision. I don't know How many such incidents have we missed this year.

CSK Playoffs

One of the question which always comes in my mind when IPL starts is "will CSK make it to the playoffs this year ?",CSK is one of the most consistent teams in IPL history and it always delights to watch them. I wish we could see them playing this year.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs IPL Trophy

One of the best team on paper is RCB, they have the best batsman like Kohli and AB de Villiers and bowlers like Dale Steyn and Umesh Yadav, don't know why they still don't win. Well I wish this could surely win the title.
